We intend to hire Dean of Students roles specializing separately in supporting elementary, middle, and high school grades. Please continue to monitor our Career Site and apply to any current vacancies that match your interests. </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b> </b></div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b>Role Mission: </b>Dean of Students works directly with scholars to ensure that they graduate from IDEA Public Schools and go to and through college by providing culturally responsive support. The Dean of Students, in collaboration with school leadership, ensures a cohesive approach to school culture and adherence to the student code of conduct. The Dean of Students will focus on and provide support with positive behavior intervention, out-of-school re-entry, logical consequences, in-school suspension, crisis management, and extended learning opportunities. With guidance from the Assistant Principal of School Culture, this person will ensure that each student is appropriately supported so that they can make progress towards their individual goals, in and out of the classroom. </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white">  </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b><u>What We Offer</u></b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b> </b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b>Compensation: </b> </div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>Compensation for this role is set at an annual rate of $40,000 annually </li><li>Dean of Students' earnings are paid monthly over a 12-month work agreement </li></ul><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:10.8pt;background:white"><b>Other Benefits:</b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white">We offer a comprehensive benefits plan, covering the majority of the employee premium for the base medical plan and subsidizing the majority of costs for a spouse/domestic partner and children. Some of the special benefits we offer at IDEA include: </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white">  </div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li><u>Paid Family Leave:</u> Eligible staff may receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child, based on their tenure with the organization and caregiver designation. </li><li><u>Tuition Reimbursement:</u> Staff members may apply for up to​ 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year subject to manager discretion and budget availability. </li><li><u>Employer-Paid Mental/Behavioral Health:</u> 5 face-to-face counseling sessions within a year, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and other work-life services available at no cost. </li></ul><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white">  </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white">Other benefits include dental and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account options, generous vacation time, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan. IDEA may offer a relocation allowance to defray the cost of moving for this role, if applicable. </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white">  </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b><u>What You Bring -- Competencies</u></b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b> </b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b>Qualifications:</b> </div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>Education: State paraprofesional/instructional aide license or at least 48 college hours required </li><li>Experience: 3+ year(s) of experience working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting </li><li>Commitment: Ability to work 8:00am to 5:00pm daily </li><li>Expertise in the following highly preferred:  </li><li><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports  </li><li>Crisis Prevention/Management </li><li>Restorative Justice Practices  </li><li>Responsive Classroom </li></ul></li></ul><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b> </b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b><u>What You’ll Do -- Accountabilities</u></b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b> </b> </div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:15pt;background:white"><b>Student Culture</b> </div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>Collaborate with the Assistant Principal of School Culture to formulate, implement, and oversee a comprehensive school-wide culture plan.
