Delivering rapid triage, resuscitation, and comprehensive stabilization across combined adult and pediatric patient populations (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics), the emergency nursing team manages high-acuity presentations including neuro-trauma (TBI, spinal cord injury), acute stroke codes (NIHSS), orthopedic trauma, penetrating wounds (gunshot/stab wounds), traumatic amputations, mechanical ventilation, continuous vasopressors, and pediatric emergencies (severe asthma, epiglottitis, seizures). Operating within an active emergency department designated as a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, this high-compensating specialty assignment features an intensive 48-hour overnight schedule (19:00 – 07:00 / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, four 12-hour night shifts guaranteed weekly with 8 built-in weekly overtime hours).
