In addition to the medical school, the Lake Nona campus includes our recently opened university teaching hospital (UCF Lake Nona Hospital), a state-of-the-art research center at the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, multi-college graduate education programs, UCF outpatient clinics, the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the Nemours Children's Hospital, the new UCF Lake Nona Cancer Center, and the Guidewell Innovation research incubator. These are UCF Health clinical positions with opportunities to: collaborate with other dermatologists at nearby partner institutions (e.g., at the VA Medical Center, the Nemours Children's Hospital and the UCF Lake Nona Medical Center); pursue interprofessional education with other members of our multi-disciplinary Academic Health Sciences Center; conduct clinical or translational research with the support of our extensive human research team; pursue educational scholarship in collaboration with other COM faculty members; and serve as a formal medical student advisor or mentor.
