The Diesel Field Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our diesel pumps and their corresponding electrical and mechanical components at various customer sites and Xylem Service Centers in the Fort Mill, SC area, as well as proving phone support when applicable.

Essential Functions: Under the guidance of shop leadership or senior mechanics, assist with the inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition. Under the guidance of shop leadership, assist in conducting preventative maintenance and basic repairs on both Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles to maintain GFL's fleet in safe and continuous "road ready" condition.
