Responsibilities include meeting objectives for department, facility, and organizational goals; interacting with professional staff, patients, and families; providing comprehensive nutrition therapy and guidance within licensed area of expertise and responsibility; providing quality learning experiences for nutrition students/interns as applicable; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice. Other essential functions where applicable: At facilities where dietitian-placed feeding tubes and/or nasal bridling are practice and clinically privileged, once specifically trained and deemed competent, participates in feeding tube and/or nasal bridle placement, documentation, tracking, and competency maintenance per hospital and manufacturer guidelines and requirements.
