Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours, may require lifting and transferring adult individuals; ability to perform housekeeping and cooking tasks; possible physical interventions with individuals who are upset, combative and psychotic; subject to lifting, carrying and restraining individuals; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to complete a two person lift of an individual, or a one person lift using a mechanical lift (with training). Works in comfortable furnished homes with individuals with developmental disabilities, interacts with these individuals and their family members, friends, medical personnel, employers, social services, inter-office personnel, CTH II Coordinator and administrative personnel under all conditions and circumstances; may encounter hostile and combative individuals; accompanies individuals in the CTH II’s to various destinations in the community; is willing to work week-ends and holidays as directed; may be subject to falls, burns, unpleasant odors, etc.
