Safely operates combination vehicles [straight trucks (vans), hook trucks, pods, pod trailers, metal bins and compactors] for: local pick-up and delivery to other DI stores, delivery to recyclers, and delivering waste to landfills or waste transfer stations. Equipment operating proficiency, demonstrated by any of the following methods: 1) Six months verifiable professional trucking experience with class 8 combination vehicles, 2) Completes and passes an external truck driving course and demonstrates required proficiency and judgment, 3) Completes and passes a Welfare Services driver training program and demonstrates required proficiency and judgment.
