p>Responsibilities: • Call Management: Handle high-volume intake calls, prioritize, and dispatch using CAD systems • Resource Coordination: Determine the appropriate level of care and coordinate transport activities with field EMTs • Customer Service: Provide courteous, friendly service to medical facilities, the public, and fellow EMS staff • Trip Assignment: Assign trips to the appropriate resources based on needs and availability • Billing Support: Collect patient billing information and assist with pre-billing activities • Other tasks as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of transportation dispatch experience (EMS dispatch preferred) • Emergency Medical Technician - EMT experience • Strong geographical knowledge of service areas • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations • Proficiency in typing (40-45 WPM) and data entry experience • Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software.
