Operate computer consoles, video monitoring equipment and other communication devices in the public safety department to receive requests for assistance; Identify the nature of the situation and dispatches public safety officers and/or other personnel as required; Receive calls from monitoring companies for fire, security and environmental alarm systems and notifies the proper authority; Maintain accurate records of calls and other communications transmissions by using the methods prescribed by the Public Safety Department; Prepare required reports, including incidents report. lost and found and any reports requested by Public Safety Officers; Operate the Arkansas Crime Information Computer terminal in accordance with state law, ACIC rules and UALR Public Safety procedures; Maintain contact with emergency services such as Little Rock Fire Department and MEMS ambulance with incidents arising on campus properties; Extract and relay important and lifesaving information to and from officers and victims to the appropriate emergency service; Answers a multi-line telephone system; Relay calls to the appropriate division/employee within the department.
