Under the direction of the Head Lifeguard and/or the Pool Manager/Assistant Pool Manager in the Parks & Recreation Department the Lifeguard creates a safe and welcoming atmosphere while promoting and maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with Departmental policies and procedures. Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
