Metrics may include, but are not limited to: + Buyer productivity – volume, value, turns, and overstock; + Adherence to category management guidelines or demand plans that ensure preferred vendor relationships and products are core to every buying decision; + Inventory balance granular to ordering characteristics and aged profile; + Maintain vender relationships including service level and On Time and In Full (OTIF); + Identification and capture of opportunities for one-time PBIT improvements; + Negotiate will all levels of supplier contacts including key challenges in price, availability, lead time, and freight; + Open to learning, coachable, and willing to volunteer to test new approaches. + Communicate with global manufacturers and suppliers regarding orders, inventory and delivery timelines; + Support supply through product selection, development, and sourcing; + Monitor pricing, terms and KPIs with manufacturers and suppliers; + Monitor inventory levels/inventory control among multiple warehouses and ensure maximum efficiency of warehouse space; + Be a strong team member with peers and other key internal stakeholders, including purchasing, operations, warehouse, finance and sales; + Deliver the on the KPI/metrics and objectives, ensuring that all actions are in sync with plan defined by local leadership.
