Works directly with patients, providers, and assistance programs to determine eligibility; collect financial, insurance, authorization, and supporting documentation; obtain required signatures; submit applications; and track approvals, denials, renewals, and follow-up requirements. Prepares and pends medication refill requests received through provider messages, telephone encounters, patient portal messages, pharmacy faxes, and other approved channels using established Cerner workflows for pharmacist review and signature.
