General faculty responsibilities in the department include but are not limited to the following: Teach undergraduate courses on the Gainesville campus, primarily, but also undergraduate and graduate courses, depending on need and credentials, face-to-face in other locations, hybrid, and/or online; Participate in recruitment and retention activities for undergraduate students, particularly students on the Gainesville campus; Engage in department, college, and university-wide student success initiatives; Engage in service activities at all required levels; Engage in research, scholarship, and professional development; and. The faculty member is expected to teach specified courses, prepare course materials, provide support and guidance to students through academic advising, foster student success, maintain records pertinent to accreditation, and assist in the supervision of students completing field placements.
