Cardiac Sonographer is available for 24-hour call within a 30-minute response time required.-Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care appropriately to the age of the patient included neonate to geriatric patient populations.-Demonstrates flexibility in learning all equipment, imaging specialties, and echocardiography procedures.-Must understand sterile procedures and isolation precaution techniques and must exercise proper precautions to avoid protentional exposures to radiation, infectious hazards, and sharp instruments.-Is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate competencies list.-Must be able to tolerate frequent walking, standing, pushing, and pulling.-Must be able to reach above shoulder level and endure occasional twisting and turning.-Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing.-Must be able to hear at ordinary conversation level and possess good visual acuity. Job Responsibilities:-Functions independently while using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to obtain a comprehensive echocardiogram.-Collaborates with Lead Cardiac Sonographers, Advanced Cardiac Sonographers, Echocardiographers, Physicians, and other team members to assist in interpretation of echocardiographic findings.-Assists in the orientation, training, and education of all levels of trainees, students, and visitors assigned to Cardiovascular Services.-Expectations extend to includes stress lab and stress echo lab procedures, outreach, on-call practices, weekends, evenings, and holiday coverage as needed.-The
