Previous coaching experience, playing experience, or experience working with youth preferred • Knowledge of general athletic principles, sportsmanship, and student supervision practices • Ability to support the development of student-athletes in skill building, teamwork, discipline, and character • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families • Ability to maintain professionalism and serve as a positive role model for students • Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the Head Coach and Athletic Director • Availability to attend after-school practices, games, tournaments, and occasional weekend events • Ability to supervise students in a safe and structured environment • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start) • Completion of all required onboarding, background clearance, and Live Scan fingerprinting • TB clearance • Ability to meet school, league, and athletic governing body requirements, including required coaching certifications and trainings. Preferred Qualifications • Previous assistant coaching or athletic experience in a school setting • Experience working with middle school or high school students • Knowledge of CIF rules and athletic eligibility requirements (if applicable) • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, if relevant to your school community .
