The duties also include training lab personal, participating in laboratory and equipment maintenance, ordering supplies as needed, performing literature review, updating research protocols and design, and potentially developing new ideas that serve the research goals set by the PI. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to independently plan and conduct experiments under the guidance of the PI, using molecular and cellular biology techniques that include, but are not limited to, cell culture, western blotting, PCR, gene knockdown and overexpression, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.
