Present or former compliance auditor/officer for the NYS Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) or a compliance auditor/officer for a NYS-licensed cannabis cultivator, processor, and/or dispensary, and hence, possess the practical and professional experiences to secure appropriate licensing (e.g., CAURD, cultivation, microbusiness, or retail) and ensure strict adherence to OCM best-practices and rules. This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework governing Cannabis production – plants and derived products – in New York State, including compliance requirements, best management practices, and the historical context of federal Cannabis regulation.
