Maintain professional competence and continuous improvement through in-service education activities provided by YMCA of the Pines and Medford School District, performance evaluations, and selected professional growth activities as described in individual professional improvement plans and other relevant education opportunities; Maintain the health and safety of all pupils, including, but not limited to: application of basic first aid, support with diapering and toileting, and assistance with general health and hygiene; Supervise classroom staff to ensure that they are upholding all DOE and DCF requirements, using proper verbal interaction, proper learn through play techniques, and age-appropriate redirection as a form of discipline; Select and requisition books and instructional aids, maintain required inventory records; Administer pupil assessment instruments in accordance with district testing policy and program; interpret the result and plan instruction accordingly; Uphold and enforce program rules and DCF requirements; Participate in faculty committees and the sponsorship of pupil activities as assigned; and . The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through the implementation of district approved curriculum; documentation of student progress, activities, and outcomes; and the creation of a student-centered learning environment.
