Strong understanding of special education law, IDEA compliance, and IEP procedures; Ability to design and deliver differentiated and specially designed instruction; Knowledge of inclusive practices, co-teaching models, and collaborative instructional strategies; Ability to analyze student data to guide instructional decisions and monitor student progress; Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams; Ability to create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining documentation and compliance requirements; Ability to effectively integrate instructional technology and assistive technology to support student learning; Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive student information with professionalism. The Special Education Teacher works closely with school administrators, general education teachers, related service providers, families, and support staff to ensure students receive high-quality educational services aligned with IDEA, state regulations, and district expectations.
