Preferred experience includes working with adults with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, or other developmental disabilities; ILS/SLS, respite, DSP, behavioral services, special education, social services, or similar programs; and experience with positive behavioral support, redirection, de-escalation, and person-centered care. This may include teaching budgeting and money management, grocery shopping, meal planning and cooking, household organization, community safety, transportation, appointment management, communication, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and other skills necessary for greater independence.
