Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, upgrades obsolete instrumentation after specifying suitable replacement(s), installs, adjusts and calibrates, as assigned, station instrumentation and control systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electronic), such as, but not limited to: boiler combustion control, feedwater control, superheat and reheat temperature control, water systems, chemical feed controls, water and air systems pressure controls, system pressure reducing and de-superheating controls, level controls, water treatment controls, heating and ventilating controls, EHC systems, computer equipment, CEM systems, flow meters, temperature pressure and level devices, recorders, transmitters and receivers used in instrumentation, monitoring instruments, portable tests and survey instruments, plant laboratory instruments and environmental instruments, and distributed control systems. Performs disassembly, reassembly, overhaul, repair, testing, adjusting, replacing and cleaning of all types of electrical equipment found in a generating station including overhauling electric motors, alignment on electrical motors and couplings, high-speed switching devices, large power transformers, high voltage and low voltage witchgear, motors, and associated equipment.
