We have multiple openings for Senior Electrical Specialists.As a Senior Electrical Specialist, you will:<ul><li>Create moderate to highly complex designs of electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability/renewable energy systems, and other similar electrical systems.</li><li>Execute a variety of electrical design assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components, and refining rough sketches.</li><li>Incorporate changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects. Contribute to studies of power systems and electrical calculations for electrical systems, lighting simulations, lighting layouts, communications, fire alarm, security and other similar calculations.</li><li>Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Update design requirements as necessary.</li><li>Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposals (RFPs). Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs</li><li>Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Position Summary:
As an Electrical Designer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality electrical design solutions. Responsibilities:
Adhere to core values of Safety, Integrity, Partnership, Respect, and Ownership.Develop complete electrical design packages including conceptual, preliminary, and construction deliverables.Create detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings and layouts for parts, assemblies, and systems.Perform electrical load and sizing calculations to support design decisions.Review and verify drawings for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.Prepare and revise Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications.Conduct field surveys and document existing conditions to inform design.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.Follow QA/QC requirements.Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and stake holders to resolve design challenges and optimize solutions.Support design change documentation.Maintain drawing and document control in accordance with company standards.Primarily office-based with frequent fieldwork in active chemical manufacturing areas.Must be able to access all areas of the plant, including elevated platforms.Exposure to industrial hazards such as moving equipment, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.Use of appropriate PPE is required.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Minimum 5+ years of electrical design experience in the polymer or chemical industry.Additional vocational-technical drafting training or minimum of two (2) years in an associate or bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word and Excel).Proficiency in CAD software (2D/3D) – primarily MicroStation with knowledge of AutoCAD.Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and stoop as needed.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities.Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
