ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply) Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directionsReads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specificationsUses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasksMaintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistenciesMaintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when neededInventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are neededPeriodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisorPerforms other related duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities QUALIFICATIONSOperate power tools and hand tools to fabricate and assemble productsHigh Attention to detailPrevious experience with diesel engine controls is a plusFollow detailed instructions and engineering drawings for accurate assemblyUtilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issuesWritten and verbal communication skillsWorks well as part of a teamOperate overhead cranes and/or forklifts to move materials within the factory EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferredHigh mechanical aptitudeProficiency with power tools and hand toolsAbility to work efficiently on a shop floorFamiliarity with operating cranes/forklifts is a plusMechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required)Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)LANGUAGE SKILLS Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
