As part of this function, ESED conducts test operations at regional Southern California ranges such as Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake and at multiple DoD ranges across the United States. The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as in performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area or on-board submarines and in weapon facilities.
