Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Under the direction of a professional nurse or an ED provider, performs duties related to the care and comfort of our patients including, but not limited to; rooming of patients, bathing, feeding, ambulation, bed repositioning, toileting, personal cares, vital signs, basic wound care, splinting, first aid, assisting with application of cardiac monitor, blood glucose testing, crutch fitting and training, IV fluid preparation, IV insertion and removal, and patient rounding. Position Overview: The Emergency Department (ED) Technician is an integral part of the health care team who, under the direction of a professional nurse, assists in the delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department and other departments throughout Winona Health as required.
