div>General Description:
Under the general supervision of the Emergency Department (ED) Manager, Director of Emergency Services, Provider, and the Registered Nurse (RN), the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic is responsible for the provision of care for the assigned ED patients.
Set up and assist in special procedures for the providers and nurses, including obtaining, preparing, and handling supplies, equipment and medicine necessary to perform the procedure (i.e. lidocaine, antibiotic cream, betadine, etc.) .
