The Engineering Technician will have the ability to define and resolve engineering problems under close supervision of more experienced personnel.</div><br/><h3>Job Details</h3><br/><div><strong>Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Setup and run design verification and design of experiments testing with close supervision.</li><li>Documentation such as Bill of Materials, specifications, instructions sheets.</li><li>Perform engineering changes (EC) according to standard procedures with extreme attention to detail of the design, how the EC will affect disposition of past, present and future effected products, and EC documentation.</li><li>Communicate project status with team and participate in program reviews.</li><li>Meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress.</li><li>Interface with engineers and production to help coordinate overall technical activities wherever appropriate.</li><li>Ensure that all relevant data is collected, reviewed, and filed for all projects in accordance with standard procedures.</li><li>Help senior staff prepare and present detailed technical reports to management and staff.</li><li>Contribute to written instruction and operation manuals for GreenSource products.</li><li>Perform in-house technical support.</li><li>Help to achieve the completion of all projects within budget and on schedule.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned in accordance with overall job responsibilities.</li></ul><div><strong>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Knowledge of manufacturing methods, systems, and production processes.</li><li>Demonstrated delivery of results through project management.</li><li>Strong team orientation.</li><li>Motivated, results oriented, customer focused, with a high commitment to quality.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Ability to learn new technology.</li><li>Good oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Creative thinking with sound problem solving and decision-making.</li><li>Be a team player and must work well with others.</li></ul><div><strong>Education & Experience:</strong></div><ul><li>High school diploma, GED or equivalent, Vocational Training preferred.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of manufacturing work experience preferred.</li><li>Must have hands-on / mechanical aptitude / trade (e.g. farming, construction, auto repair, machining, woodworking, etc.)</li></ul><div><strong>Physical demands & Abilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Able to work 8 hour shifts plus overtime when needed.</li><li>Able to lift up to 44 pounds/20kg.</li><li>Able to bend, lean, sit and/or stand for entire shift.</li><li>High level of manual dexterity.</li><li>Ability to operate factory machines and use software to run computer-operated machinery.</li></ul><div>All employees at GreenSource Fabrication are expected to support a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment, follow company policies, and contribute to achieving production and on-time delivery goals.</div><div><br/></div><div>GreenSource Fabrication, a Whelen Engineering Company, is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, sex, ancestry, citizenship status, mental or physical disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or military status.</div>

Provide comprehensive technical support to internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to ensure product integrity and efficiency. Develop complex Excel-based quoting tools, reducing quoting time for custom-designed, high-end equipment. Standardize complex product designs to meet evolving industry demands, while simultaneously reducing engineering costs and project lead times. Offer technical pre-sales support to both in-house staff and regional sales representatives, increasing accuracy and customer satisfaction. Create and deliver technical training sessions and one-on-one coaching for internal teams, enhancing the organization’s engineering and sales capabilities. Expand and optimize spreadsheet tools used across departments, improving quoting efficiency and interdepartmental communication. Perform forensic analysis of product failures such as gate failures, identifying root causes and supporting quality improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturers. Develop and launch key products, including flap valves, sluice gates, and BABA-compliant butterfly gates.<br/><br/>Minimum <br/>Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation with the following: designing and developing custom-built and custom-engineered water control product such as Knife Gate Valves and Screens; 3D Solid modeling for detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorks; American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards, US Army Corps of Engineers Manuals (USACE), and Canadian design standards; experience with water control product design and manufacturing processes, including casting and molding, machining, welding, shearing, and forming.<br/><br/>SPECIAL<br/>Requirement: Requires up to 10% domestic & international travel to various unanticipated client sites.<br/><br/>REFER TO:     Submit resumes to <u>accounting@rodneyhunt.com</u>.
