Primary responsibilities include (1) assembling and fabricating mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic hardware, test facilities, and prototypes; (2) setting up and conducting experiments; (3) troubleshooting components, facilities, and experiments; and (4) recording data, data reduction, and creating/maintaining project documentation. The successful candidate will possess an intuitive understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize competing demands, organization, computer proficiency, strong record-keeping, written/verbal communication skills, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
