Duties and Responsibilities Duties vary by level, with increasing independence, complexity, leadership, and responsibility: Level I (Entry-Level) : Assist experienced plumbers with preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning drains/fixtures, replacing basic components (washers, seals, gaskets), and minor repairs under direct supervision; perform general site support (tool/parts prep, cleanup, material handling); participate in safety briefings and learn plumbing codes, systems, and best practices through on-the-job training. Work Environment/Safety : Primarily field-based in commercial/industrial settings (indoor/outdoor, mechanical rooms, rooftops, varying weather); exposure to noise, dust, heights, water, sewage, chemicals, and confined-space hazards; must adhere to OSHA regulations, plumbing codes (IPC/UPC), conduct hazard identification, and wear required PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, respirators as needed, steel-toed boots) at all times—safety is our top priority and non-negotiable.
