In close collaboration with other members of the Publications department, as well as curators and/or guest authors, the Editor edits manuscripts, oversees the editorial development of layouts, manages editorial schedules, and is responsible for editing and/or overseeing the editing of all public-facing printed and digital copy related to exhibitions, including but not limited to wall texts, object labels, communications and educational materials, and Collection Online texts. Assist other Editors as needed on book projects, including but not limited to: research and edit bibliographies; fact-checking; edit front and back matter, captions, and citations; proofread and slug layouts; compile copyright credits; copyedit against style sheets; and manage source scans from authors.
