The purpose of inspection work is to inspect field construction to evaluate and verify conformance with approved plans, national, state, and City of Bellevue construction codes and policies & procedures, and related ordinance provisions of structural & architectural designs, fire-resistance, accessibility, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, energy efficiency, clearing, grading, and site drainage, and other facets of compliant construction in the City of Bellevue. Under the guidance of their supervisor and assistance from more experienced inspectors, the primary duties of an entry-level inspector include: Participates in and inspects an increasingly varied range of less complex residential, commercial, and industrial building construction projects during progressive stages of construction activity.
