Minimum Qualifications Open-Competitive: Four years of experience in technician work in aeronautical, chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical, or sanitary engineering technology; environmental technology; geology or geology technology; or as a surveyor or a drafter; OR graduation from high school and one year of qualifying experience; OR graduation from a high school technical education program in aeronautics, architectural drafting, chemistry, electricity, electronics, mechanical design and construction, technical structural drafting and design, technical instrumentation and control systems, or computer circuitry; OR 18 college semester credit hours in any combination of the following: engineering, geology, environmental science, natural or physical science, drafting, mathematics, or surveying. Duties Description The technician will be trained to work in the following areas of R3's Water Program including State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permitting and compliance, stormwater, complaint response, and water quality assessment.
