This EP device Nurse demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population Additional competencies for the EP Device RN may include, but are not limited to, pre- and post-procedure assessment, vascular access, infusion therapy, phlebotomy, post-procedure recovery, care coordination and teach back methods, point of care testing, interrogation, programming, and management of pacemakers, defibrillators, Incision and wound care, Cardiac Telemetry interpretation, and procedure-specific instruments and equipment needed for patient care. The Device RN will be expected to assess, interrogate, reprogram, and manage cardiac devices within the nursing scope of practice while working both independently and interdependently with other professional staff, physicians, and other providers across all care settings including ambulatory, procedural, OR, Imaging, Diagnostic, and inpatient departments.
