The DDSS is responsible for oversight of housing services, including, but not limited to: team cohesion, supervision of Case Managers and a Housing Navigator, building and maintaining relationships with community partners with an emphasis on landlords, meeting regularly with the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, and managing the programs' contracts and budgets to ensure objectives are met and funds are spent appropriately. Provide supportive, compliant supervision to union-represented staff, maintaining a working knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to handle workplace dynamics, grievances, and staff relations with fairness, transparency, and consistency.
