Examinations may include, but are not limited to, transthoracic echocardiography, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional imaging, myocardial mechanics/strain imaging, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, congenital echocardiography, and echocardiographic support of interventional and procedural services, based on location, training, demonstrated competency, and operational needs. Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team, recognizing the specialized nature of echocardiographic examinations and individual patient needs.
