This role involves managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring that the hotel's sales goals are met. The Sales Manager plays a key role in building the hotel’s brand presence and achieving financial targets through effective sales strategies and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities<ol start="1"><li>Sales Strategy and Planning</li><li><ul><li>Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize market share.</li><li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, group bookings, and special events.</li><li>Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to adjust sales strategies and capitalize on opportunities.</li><li>Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, campaigns, and offers that drive bookings and increase visibility.</li></ul></li><li>Client Relationship Management</li><li><ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.</li><li>Conduct sales presentations, site visits, and negotiations to secure new contracts and business opportunities.</li><li>Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of satisfaction to foster long-term partnerships.</li><li>Follow up with clients post-event or stay to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.</li></ul></li><li>Sales Performance and Reporting</li><li><ul><li>Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.</li><li>Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review, detailing sales activities, revenue performance, and market insights.</li><li>Track and analyze sales metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and client feedback, to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies.</li></ul></li><li>Team Collaboration and Leadership</li><li><ul><li>Collaborate with other hotel departments, including front desk, catering, and operations, to ensure a seamless guest experience and successful event execution.</li><li>Provide guidance and support to junior sales staff or sales coordinators, offering training and mentorship as needed.</li><li>Participate in sales meetings and contribute to the development of team goals and strategies. </li></ul></li></ol><ol start="5"><li>Market Research and Networking</li><li><ul><li>Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.</li><li>Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build relationships and promote the hotel’s services.</li><li>Develop partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and influencers to enhance the hotel's visibility and reputation in the market.</li></ul></li><li>Customer Service Excellence</li><li><ul><li>Ensure that all sales activities are conducted with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the guest experience.</li><li>Address and resolve any client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.</li></ul></li></ol>Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the property. Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, marketing, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.</li><li>Proficiency in sales and CRM software, along with Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul> Working Conditions:<ul><li>Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by client schedules and events.</li><li>Ability to travel locally or regionally to meet with clients and attend industry events.</li><li>Occasional lifting of promotional materials or event supplies (up to 30 lbs.).</li></ul> Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.</li><li>Employee discounts on hotel stays and services.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the hotel.</li></ul> The statements in this job description are intended to represent key duties and the level of work being performed.
