Job Position: Admissions Outreach SpecialistLocation: Flint, MI 48503Pay Rate: $19.38/hrShift: Part-time, contract/temporary position, will require some evenings and weekendsEntech Staffing Solutions is seeking an Admissions & Outreach Specialist for a position at a local educational institution in Flint, MI. This is a part-time contract position that will require some evenings and weekends. The purpose of this role is to assist with the admission processing, and outreach for the Office of Admissions Department by representing the school in the community and assisting with the overall goals of the department.<h3>Job Duties/Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Represent the school both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the school selection process. This includes daily calling campaigns.</li><li>Assist with promoting the school through creating marketing materials as needed</li><li>Assist with coverage of the information desk including answering of phones</li><li>Develops an on-going relationship with high school officials and counselors to facilitate recruiting activities.</li><li>Schedules and conducts visits to schools, churches, and community groups to meet, develop and encourage communication, involvement, and enrollment with the school.</li><li>Counsels prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the school in person, on the telephone, via text, and via email.</li><li>Gathers and ensures follow up on all inquiries in a timely manner.</li><li>Works to ensure recruitment fairs/events are identified and have appropriate coverage.</li><li>Conducts Admissions presentations on/off site.</li><li>Maintains contact with applicants from target areas utilizing all available communication tools to ensure completion of the application process and to facilitate an increase in the enrollment yield.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of and participate in all on campus recruiting events.</li><li>Assist with covering the Placement Office functions including but not limited to serving as a proctor on/off campus.</li><li>Responsible for responding to emails and data entry in a timely manner (24-48 hours)</li><li>Maintain accurate record keeping for weekly reporting</li><li>Set appointments and give tours for prospective students and their parent</li><li>Carries out other duties as assigned</li></ul><h3>Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Associate Degree in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related required</li><li>Microsoft (word, excel and PowerPoint, etc.)</li><li>Google applications (google doc, google sheet, google slide, etc.)</li><li>Time management skills</li><li>Interpersonal skills</li><li>Experience with working with a diverse population of students</li><li>Reliable Transportation</li><li>Bachelors Degree preferred</li><li>Experience working in higher education or sales preferred</li></ul>Working Environment:<ul><li>This position is an in-person role that may require some travel.</li><li>Working some evenings and weekends will be required for this role.</li></ul>#gbPandoLogic.
