The RN provides nursing care for adults, pediatrics, infants, adolescents, and elderly through physical, psychological and social assessments and then formulates a nursing diagnosis, and communicates findings to the physician and/or mid-level provider. The RN manages, organizes, and provides direct patient care incorporating clinical decision-making, facilitating the next steps in the patient’s plan of care, and prioritization of activities.
