Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect buildings during various stages of construction, including new builds, alterations, repairs, and remodeling, to ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations; check plans for code compliance and any special conditions or requirements. A special trade school certificate or special training in Building, Public Works, electrical, gas, mechanical, plumbing, and fire prevention inspection is an acceptable equivalent to skilled craft experience.
