p>Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Operate welding equipment using appropriate GMAW and GTAW techniques to weld aluminum and steel sheet, plate, and extrusion in all positions Prepare weldments using tools such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tools, wire brushes and various hand tools of the trade Basic interpretation of blueprints, drawings, weld symbols and schedules to lay out patterns on material Perform welding in the fabrication phase of construction, including the pre-fabrication of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks, and cabins using jigs and fixtures Secure small parts for assembly and welding Perform operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and other fabrication equipment Maintain a professional, neat, and secure fabrication area.
