Job Title: Recreation Therapist Profession: Recreation Therapist Specialty: Recreation Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:30 am to 5 pm (30-minute lunch) Experience: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required - Master's Degree preferred - Experience in Dance and Movement, Art, Drama, Music, Yoga, or Recreational Therapy preferred License: - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC) certification preferred - Valid Driver's License required - Must be 21 years of age or older Certifications: - AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required - Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required Must-Have: - Commitment to the safety and well-being of associates and patients - Compliance with vaccination requirements Description: Plans, directs, and coordinates recreation-based treatment programs for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or mental illnesses. Provides treatment services and recreational therapy using a variety of techniques, including arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings.
