The Lead Accountant serves as a subject matter expert for investment accounting and reporting, provides functional direction and reviews investment-related work performed by other team members, supports internal and external audits, and leads process improvement and automation initiatives within the investment accounting and reporting function. Working closely with the GAAP Financial Reporting Manager, Finance teams, and the Company's Investment, Tax, Actuarial, Legal, and Technology teams, this position supports the accounting and reporting of the Company's investment portfolio, including investment-related financial statement disclosures, supporting schedules, security pricing, reconciliations, analyses, and regulatory reporting requirements.
