Operates a variety of construction and maintenance equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, dump trucks, forklifts, front-end loaders, man-lifts, tractor mounted mowing machines, snowplows, snowblowers, and similar equipment in order to dig trenches, load trucks, move materials and maintain grounds, roadways and other areas; performs routine maintenance on assigned equipment by checking fluid levels, lubricating, and adjusting equipment as necessary. Paints a variety of interior and exterior building surfaces, fixtures, furniture, roads, parking lots, ramps, taxiways and runways; prepares surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, washing, and filling as necessary; mixes paints, stains, varnishes, and other protective coatings as required; applies paint or other protective coatings to surface being finished using brushes, rollers, and/or spray painting equipment.
