The Town encompasses 13.2 square miles, including the 720-acre lake with a large central body of deep water, three long bays, a seven-acre island, and many small bays and inlets with picturesque backgrounds of forest-clad hills and mountains. Reporting to the Town Manager, the Finance Director exercises considerable independent judgment in managing the department, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, and adhering to generally accepted accounting principles.
