Benefits/Perks <ul><li>Benefits to include:<ul><li>Health, Dental & Vision</li><li>401K with company match</li></ul></li><li>Competitive Pay</li><li>Career Advancement</li></ul>Job Summary We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our team.  Responsibilities  <ul><li>Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved</li><li>Removing edges on expansion joints and sides</li><li>Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete</li><li>Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machines</li><li>Aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs and gutters</li><li>Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces</li><li>Compacting materials using power vibrators to create leveled bases</li><li>Finishing concrete surfaces with rough or smooth patterns depending on the customer's preference of stamp design.</li><li>Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms</li><li>Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids</li><li>Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete</li><li>Report on progress</li><li>Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher which involves placing forms to control where concrete is being poured and assisting with the spreading of the concrete as it is being poured to ensure that the finished results will be level.</li><li>Knowledge of stripping forms after concrete placement, and several other tasks as required.</li><li>He/she is responsible for carrying out tasks which may include cutting expansion joints, filling voids, repairing the surfaces of concretes, ensuring that surfaces are finished to ensure good looks and avoid slipping.</li><li>Experience in using a wide variety of tools when working on projects, such as saws, trowels, screeds, jointers and drills, etc.</li><li>Must be able to performs the function of regularly utilizing the use of power tools to restructure concrete and smooth it out, as well as cleaning and maintaining tools, and so on.</li><li>He/she is also responsible for finishing the top surfaces of concrete with the use of relevant tools and water to arrive at the desired texture.</li><li>Individuals are expected to possess and demonstrate some necessary skills or attributes such as good communication skills, well-developed physical strength, and highly detail-oriented mind. </li></ul>

Metal Finisher I - 2nd Shift (differential offered)Position SummaryThis Metal Finisher I position will perform finishing operations according to specifications documented on the job order. Other production tasks such as sandblasting and/or operating a tumbler will be performed in a timely and efficient manner. This is accomplished by maintaining Tecomet's principles of Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and Innovations.\u202fPrinciple Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform basic finishing operations, including deburring, hand grinding, and polishing, break edges.</li><li>Perform sand blasting using a blast cabinet to put a finish on parts and become proficient knowing what blasting medium should be used for various operations.</li><li>Conduct visual inspections to achieve surface finishes per specifications and blueprints.</li><li>Perform required set-ups and operation of the appropriate finishing equipment ensuring correct equipment is utilized to apply proper finish.</li><li>Acquire Production Approval (PA) when specified on job router or work order.</li><li>Counts parts before beginning to work on job and when finished before moving on to next operation.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines.</li><li>Actively participates in 5S daily operator checklist responsibilities.</li><li>Additional duties may be assigned by production supervisor to meet company production goals.</li></ul>Qualification RequirementsCredentials/Experience:<ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED or HiSET)</li><li>Experience working hand tools, sanders, and grinders preferred.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Accurately use all measuring equipment and to read basic blueprints.</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions under direction of supervisor.</li><li>Listening, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret quality standards and work orders; ability to communicate clearly with production team on quality issues.</li><li>Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.</li><li>Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures and to report all unsafe activities to supervisor.</li><li>Able to meet production metrics as required for position.</li><li>Ability to meet attendance requirements per the employee handbook policy.</li><li>Able to communicate respectfully with other and work in a team environment.</li><li>Learn and practice daily any/all Lean practices introduced in the area.</li><li>Attention to detail and willingness to learn.</li></ul>Other RequirementsWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
