ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Operate forklifts (including high-capacity and extended-fork models) to transport large and heavy materials, equipment, and structures
· Load and unload trucks, trailers, and flatbeds safely and efficiently
· Move components such as steel frames, prefab sections, and modular units across production zones
· Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report maintenance issues
· Secure and stabilize oversized loads for safe transport
· Assist in staging materials for production and outbound shipping
· Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including OSHA and company guidelines
· Work closely with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to support operations
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
· Strong understanding of safe lifting, load limits, and load distribution.
Work Experience:
· Valid forklift certification (must be current)
· Minimum 2–3 years of forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
· Proven experience handling oversized, heavy, or sensitive materials
· Experience with mobile equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts, or cranes
· OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights.
