This work is physical and requires attention to detail as follows: • Maneuver and connect/disconnect transfer hoses • Climb up tanks, tankers and railcars to open/close top hatches and monitor load • Inspect tanks, tankers and railcars before and after loading/unloading operations • Verify product against receiving/shipping documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages • Product sampling and quality control in conjunction with lab personnel • Maintain accurate receiving/shipping logs • Record amounts of product received or distributed via appropriate computer program • Picking and staging product for delivery in accordance with specifications on customer orders or other instructions • Operation of powered and manual industrial lift trucks (with certification) to transport product in the warehouse, and maintain daily forklift checklist • Move raw materials to the production area and move finished products to the warehouse • Ability to lift and carry bags, pails, boxes, and pallets varying distances • Ability to stage and remove product packaging in complex storage racking within operating areas and warehouses • Repackage product into proper containers for storage or shipment. This work is physical and requires attention to detail: • Fill cylinders, drums, totes, pails or tankers with product and route to prescribed storage locations making sure of proper labelling, storing, stacking, or palletizing according to company and regulatory requirements • Give special attention to packaging, loading and storing of food grade and USP items • Operate electronic scale and process devices • Carefully store hazardous waste drums in the prescribed area in full compliance with hazardous waste regulations • Responsibility for inventory • Examine stored product and report deterioration and damage • Rearrange stored materials • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
