Job SummaryBuild, install and repair wooden structures and forms used on bridge construction projects. Travel from jobsite tojobsite in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas or Missouri. Work Monday to Friday, and some weekends,usually 40-50 hours per week. Overnight stays may be required at company's expense at the company's expense.Essential Functions<ul><li>Attend work as scheduled</li><li>Get along with others</li><li>Follow company handbooks and other written and oral instructions</li><li>Communicate in a way others will understand</li><li>Use and care for tools, equipment and materials</li></ul>Additional Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform carpentry work for pier footings, columns, caps, abutments, decking, intermediate diaphragms, rail and approach</li><li>Read and understand construction plans and specifications</li><li>Select specified types of lumber and other materials needed to construct forms</li><li>Layout the form using tape measurers, rulers, framing squares and other tools</li><li>Mark cutting or assembly lines on material using pencil, chalk or marking gauge</li><li>Cut and shape forms to specifications using saws, chisels or plane</li><li>Assemble forms with nails or other fasteners</li><li>Verify accuracy of form with plumb bob, level or transit</li><li>Work safely and closely with Form Setter and Cement Mason</li><li>Read and interpret Safety Data Sheets and container labels</li><li>Identify and communicate safety concerns to management in a timely manner</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management</li></ul> Education, Experience & Certification<ul><li>High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred</li><li>Two years’ experience in bridge carpentry</li><li>Experience using mechanical and electrical tools</li></ul>Physical<ul><li>Normal range of vision and hearing (with correction)</li><li>Effectively work at heights</li><li>Walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, reach, lift and balance</li><li>Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis</li><li>Work safely in adverse weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, ice, mud, heat, etc. </li></ul> PIa3920b6737dd-25401-40068333
