Unit Description: The OU Health Office of Patient Safety functions are as follows: monitor and manage adverse events and near miss events for improved patient outcomes, review and manage event reporting throughout the enterprise daily, prepare, facilitate and complete root cause analyses and focused reviews for safety events, track and trend to identify opportunities to drive systematic change to achieve safer care for the patients and families we serve and partner with OUH frontline staff, clinicians and leaders to enhance safety for the patients we serve. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required, or attainment within 48 months from hire date.
