Field data collection and analysis of soil, water, and other materials for environmental assessments• Collect and compile geographic information using global positioning system (GPS) equipment• Develop plans, technical reports, and/or permit applications • Prepare maps utilizing geographic information system (GIS) software• Regularly coordinate with government agencies regarding regulatory requirements• Deliver presentations at public forums, conferences, and client meetings• Understand and maintain proficiency with environmental regulations applicable to the development of transportation and other civil works projects• Limited travel required. • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Geology • 4+ years of relevant work experience in consulting or regulatory environment • Ability to obtain Professional Geologist License • Ability to work well and self-motivate in a collaborative team environment• Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and access to remote sites• Strong team player with effective internal & external communication skills• Experience with ArcView/ArcPro required.
